Nina Lou Taylor, 83, Mt. Moriah, Mo., passed peacefully from this life on November 12, 2020 at a Lamoni, Iowa Specialty Care.
Nina was born August 28, 1937 to Robert Lewis and Laura Ann (Wallace) Carson. Her early years were spent with her parents and three sisters on their farm near Eagleville, Mo.
After graduating from high school, Nina moved to St. Joseph to continue her education. She married Edmund Taylor on May 24, 1964 and the couple resided on the Taylor family farm near Mt. Moriah throughout their fifty-six years of marriage.
Nina could be counted on to know nearly everyone in the Harrison County community due to her more than forty-year career at the Bethany Trust Company. After her retirement, she continued to work part-time at the Missouri Tourism Visitors Center near Eagleville. Nina loved meeting new people and visiting with anyone passing through the area. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church until its closing, and later attended the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Opal Carson, Erma Carson, and Nora Kitchen, and her infant brother Sherman Perry Carson.
Nina is survived by her husband Edmund of the home, daughters Susan (Walker) Burns of Mt. Moriah, Margo (David) Jones of Bethany, and Jennie (Michael) Case of Yorktown, Va., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
