There have been some new developments in the coronavirus pandemic:

Harrison County Health Department Administrator Courtney Cross announced Wednesday that a second county resident has tested positive for novel coronavirus. The individual is a male between 40-49 years of age and a resident of Harrison County. The health department is working to quickly identify and respond to anyone who may need to self-quartile due to close contact with the individual. He is recovering at home and under voluntary self-isolation. Earlier in the week, a woman between 40-49 was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19.

South Harrison school officials announced Tuesday evening that the school closure has been extended through April 30. They said they will continue to work with health officials to review the possible need for further action. According to the current schedule, classes would resume on May 1.
