Mary Louise (Peugh) Fish, 91, of Bethany, (formerly of Mt. Moriah, Mo.) passed away December 14, 2019, at Crestview Home, Bethany, Mo.

She was born July 18, 1928 in Belton, Mo., the daughter of William Alonzo Peugh and Edith Mearle Thomas.

Mary graduated from Mt. Moriah High School in 1946. She married Alva Gale Fish on November 4, 1946 in Bethany, Mo. at the home of Reverend Huell Warrens. Alva preceded her in death on November 20, 1992.

Mary was a homemaker but her chosen love was being Alva’s helpmate as he farmed, made cabinets, worked with his ponies and dogs and raised their family. Their forty-six years of married life was spent within a five-mile radius of Mt. Moriah.

Mary loved sports and was always ready to play games with her kids and grandkids. Whatever they wanted to do she was there. She put alot of miles on her truck going to games, babysitting or just dropping by.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Larry and infant brother, Charles; father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Clara Fish; sisters-in-law, Alma Jennings, Vergie Fish, Madeline Fish and Clella Eisenbarger; brothers-in-law, Truman Fish and Ora Eisenbarger; nephew, Chris Schell and nieces, Janelda Mann and Anita Peugh.

Survivors are children, Richard (Anna Beth) Fish, Roberta (Dick) Smith and Reva Rocha all of Bethany, Mo.; grandchildren, Scott Fish and Robin (Bill Wyman) Fish all of Smithville, Mo.; Rhonda (Scott) Taylor, Bethany, Mo.; Mike (Codi) Brush, Osborn, Mo.; Ryan (Jessica) Rocha, St. Joseph, Mo.; Ross Rocha (fiance Alyssa Mata), Kansas City, Mo.; Jason (Melissa) Smith, Columbia, Mo.; Jeff (Jamie) Smith, Ridgeway, Mo.; Jennifer Smith, Columbia, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Pauline (Tim) West, New Hampton, Mo.; Nadine Peugh, Mt. Moriah, Mo.; great grandchildren, Zach, Grant, Cole and Quinn Taylor; Regan and Riley Fish; Jessica and Josie Brush; Tatum and Tegan Rocha; Nevayda and Bentley Smith; Asa, Reese and Quin Smith; twelve nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo. Burial will follow in Yankee Ridge Cemetery, Ridgeway, Mo. The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
