Columbia, MO: Bette Martin Faddis, 95, Columbia, MO (formerly of Coffey, MO) passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at a Columbia, MO nursing home.
She was born on January 31, 1924 in Coffey, Missouri the daughter of Forrest (Game) and Cecil Kirk Martin.
She graduated from Pattonsburg High School in 1942. Bette settled in California and worked in the field of social work for the State of California for over 20 years.
Bette and husband, James, who preceded her in death in 2004, retired in Harrisburg to be close to her family.
Bette was a member of the Harrisburg Christian Church since 2000 and loved working with Pastor John Gillman.
Survivors include her niece, Kathy Spry; great nieces, Kacy Howell and Melissa Williamson; great nephew, Kyle Spry (Kristen) and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Bette loved dancing, singing, playing games, and being around her family and friends. She was always smiling and sparkling wherever she went.
The family would like to thank all of her friends, family, and the loving people at Candlelight Lodge and Pastor John Gillman for their thoughtfulness, loving care and kindness over the past years. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 25 at Harrisburg Christian Church, Harrisburg, MO. Private Burial was held in Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO.
