No earthling would ever expect to see a sight like this while gazing at the moon. On a recent evening, an anonymous man who runs the Missouri Skies website on Facebook saw this Southwest Airlines plane crossing the face of the moon as he was photographing it through the lens of a high end telescope at his observatory in the Albany area. This month marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon. It may be a while yet before Southwest schedules trips to the moon but at least we can dream of that day.
