Showing its wounds: The Edna Cuddy House on West Main Street was heavily damaged during the recent hailstorm.

The 137-year-old Edna Cuddy Memorial House and Gardens has taken a beating during the recent storms as well as the ongoing effects of aging.
The two-story brick home on West Main Street has been maintained for many years by the Harrison County Historical Society. The house, built in 1882 by prominent Bethany businessman James Hamilton and his wife Colistie, has hosted numerous tours and events since the home was donated by Edna Cuddy to the historical society.
