Gallatin, MO: James Edward “Jim” Kampman, 76, Gallatin, MO (formerly of Coffey, MO) passed away August 6, 2018.
He was born June 25, 1942 the son of Eugene H. and Gertrude M. (Cox) Kampman. They preceded him in death.
Jim lived most of his life in and around Coffey. He graduated from Coffey High School in 1960.
He was a farmhand for Jim and Shirley Everly and did construction work.
Jim married Judy Morris on September 14, 1973 and became an instant father to Helen, Richard, Jackie, and Jimmy. They later divorced. Jim stayed in close contact with Jack Morris through the years.
Jim enjoyed hunting trips to Nebraska, pheasant hunting. He loved John Wayne movies and artifacts, also tractors, and he loved to take car rides. Sometimes we didn’t have a lot to talk about with Jim but if we had a question about where someone used to live in Coffey, he could always straighten us out.
He is survived by four siblings, Darwin (Betty), Minot, ND, Frances Cousins, Grandview, MO, Norman, Bethany, MO, and David, Topeka, KS; three nephews, two nieces and several friends.
Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 10, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ridgeway, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Memorials may be made to the Gallatin Senior Center in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
