Bethany, MO: The Harrison County Minors All-Stars team overcame an earlier loss to defeat Northwest’s All-Stars 19-6 to win the district championship at Carrollton, Mo.
The county team lost to Northwest on July 8 before coming back to defeat LaCoMo East 15-7 on July 10. The locals then defeated Northwest 19-6 on July 11 and followed up with another win over Northwest by the same score on July 12.
The Harrison County Minors will play in the state tournament on the weekend of July 27 in Joplin.
Meanwhile the Harrison County 9-year-old all stars are playing in the state tournament this weekend in De Soto, Mo., south of St. Louis.
