Bethany, MO: Bethany Medical Clinic, Harrison County Family Health Center and North Harrison Medical Clinic are launching a new appointment reminder system on July 16.
The day before an appointment, patients will receive a reminder by phone, email or text message, according to Jeffrey McChesney, the information technology specialist overseeing the project.
“We know our patients have busy schedules, so the call, text message or email is a quick, friendly reminder that contains the appointment time and location.” said McChesney.
If patients are unable to keep an appointment, the system also allows them to cancel the appointment.
The system can also be used to communicate with patients about routine health screenings and other wellness information.
When the system launches, appointment reminders will be sent to the phone number on file with a patient’s medical record. To change the preferred method of contact, patients should contact their medical clinic.
