Jackie Dee “Jack” Fenimore, 1940-2018
BETHANY, MO: Jackie Dee “Jack” Fenimore, 77, Bethany, MO passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 on the farm.
Jack was born on August 19, 1940 the son of Delmar “Pete” and Ruth (Kerns) Fenimore. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and Gary; brothers-in-law, Lee Queen and Robin Harrison; and sister-in-law, Mary Harrison.
On June 29, 1963 he married the love of his life, Sharon Queen and to this union, 2 sons were born, Greg and Brad Fenimore.
Jack was a lifelong farmer and steward of the land. He devoted his life caring for the land and livestock. Jack served on many community boards and committees as well as being a mentor and friend to many. Jack left a positive impression on many community youth and was always willing to give them a start, creating opportunities, and he was always willing to share his wisdom and experience.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and retired from the Army National Guard, where, he served proudly and touched many lives and made numerous lifelong friends.
Jack is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; sons, Greg (Rose) Fenimore, McFall, MO Brad (Jennifer) Fenimore, Auburn, KS; sister-in-law, Carolyn Queen, Bethany; grandchildren, Clinton (April) Fenimore, Pattonsburg, Erica (Josh) Adkins, McFall, Tyler (Katie) Fenimore, McFall, Alli (Johnny) Poole, Topeka, KS, Jackson, Maddie, and Breeanna Fenimore, Auburn, KS; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
