Cameron, MO: Quentin Gary Holcomb, 54, of Cameron, MO, passed away on March 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Quentin was born on March 3, 1971, in Bethany, MO, to Gary and Sue Holcomb.  He grew up in Coffey, MO, attending school there until it closed in 1984.  Quentin graduated from Pattonsburg High School in 1989.

Quentin loved athletics and excelled as a “left-handed” shooter in basketball and a catcher in softball, earning letters and conference honors in softball.

One of Quentin’s favorite hobbies was reloading and shooting.  Whether target practicing, quail hunting with his brother-in-law, or busting clay pigeons, he loved the sport.  He was a regular at a local trap range and became a tough challenger on the firing line.

After High School, Quentin worked for a time at Ford Motor Company but eventually went to work for MODot, spending nearly twenty years there until failing health forced him to leave that career.

On June 30, 1996, he married Tammey Minton, and to this union of twenty-five years were born Kale Quentin Holcomb on August 3, 1999, and Kyler Lea Holcomb on April 16, 2002.  He was very proud of his boys, watching them grow and celebrating their accomplishments.

Quentin was preceded in death by his mother, Sue (Knecht) Holcomb, on March 2, 2014, and his grandparents, Wilbert Knecht, and Argel and Lila Holcomb.

Surviving are his children, Kale of Gilman City, MO, Kyler and his fiancé Maggie Baker of Leavenworth, KS; his father, Gary Holcomb, and wife Betty of Cameron, MO; and his sister Angela (Holcomb) Carroll, and husband Phillip of Branson West, MO.  Additionally, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.

Quentin was a fun-loving free spirit.  Life had taken its toll, but he has been called home to the Lord to be with family he missed dearly and is no longer suffering physically.  He will be missed by his beloved family and friends.

Quentin has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO.
