Harrison County, MO: Traveling north on I-35, there’s a sign between exits 80 and 84 that reads Captain Elf’s Tree Farm. The forest of evergreen trees is located just south of the Harrison-Daviess County line. Finding the farm is the true adventure, but like all pleasant journeys, the destination is worth the trek.–By Caleb Osmon
