Harrison County, MO: A once in an 80,000-year phenomenon passed through the southwest sky as the comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas was visible across North America in recent weeks. This view of the comet was captured by an iPhone camera from a vantage point near the water district’s tower at the intersection of Highway 69 and Route Z, southwest of Eagleville. The comet appears alongside the planet Venus on the left of the photo. The viewing came to an end on Monday, according to astronomers.
