Harrison County, MO: The federal Juneteenth holiday on Wednesday, June 19, will delay the mail delivery of the Republican-Clipper next week. There will be no mail delivery on the observance when post offices and banks also will be closed.
Juneteenth marks the anniversary of the enforcement of the Emancipation proclamation freeing enslaved people at the end of the Civil War.
The newspaper will be in local stores as usual on Wednesday.
