Michael Lynn Easton
Michael
Lynn Easton, 53, Gladstone, (formerly of Bethany, Mo.) passed away Monday,
August 30, 2010 at his home.
He
was born July 20, 1957 in Bethany, Mo., the son of Richard Lee and Mary Evelyn
(Walstrom) Easton.
On
December 28, 1985, he married Debbie Arney in Bethany, Mo. She survives at the home.
Michael
worked in electronics and as a mechanical repairman. He was certified in lab
equipment. He loved to tinker and take
things apart and put them back together.
Michael was a graduate of South Harrison High School and he obtained an
associates degree from DeVry.
Survivors
in addition to his wife are brothers, Joe Easton, McFall, Mo., Rick Easton,
Bethany, Mo., and Shane Easton, Eloy, Ariz.; sisters, Lisa Purcell, Camden
Point, Mo., and Sharon Coleman, Lathrop, Mo., several nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth, Billy and Terry
Easton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Madge Arney.
Funeral
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, at Roberson Funeral Home,
Bethany, Mo. Burial in Springer Chapel
Cemetery, Gilman City, Mo. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

Roy Lee Kaneer
Roy
Lee Kaneer, Jr., 70, Cameron, Mo. (formerly of Hamilton, Mo.)passed away on
August 30, 2010. Roy was born on June 9, 1940, in Glasgow, Mo., to Roy Lee and
Clemie Bramble Kaneer, Sr.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl and Bobby.
On
July 27, 1987, he married Margaret McKinney in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home. Additional
survivors: sister, Margie Wade, Warsaw,
Mo.; sons, Tony Kaneer, Wisconsin, Tommy Kaneer, Jay, Okla., Troy Kaneer,
Granby, Mo., Terry Kaneer, Wichita, Kan.; step-son, Jeremiah Watson, Gallatin,
Mo.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The
body has been cremated. There will be no

Worth Vandivert
Worth
Vandivert, 79, Bethany, died Saturday, August 28, 2010.
He
was born May 29, 1931 in Harrison County, Mo., the son of William Cody and Oda
(Shumard) Vandivert.
On
August 21, 1955, he married Leah Snead in Kidder, Mo. She survives at the home.
Worth
was a life-long farmer and he served on numerous boards in Harrison
County. Worth attended the Mitchellville
United Methodist Church.
Survivors
in addition to his wife are three sons, Donald (Linda) Vandivert, Bethany, Mo.,
Charles (Debbie) Vandivert, Springfield, Mo., and Richard (Tammy) Vandivert,
Maryville, Mo.; nine grandchildren, 1 1/2 great grandchildren. He was also very
close to his nieces and nephews.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers and one infant sister.
Funeral
services were Tuesday, August 31, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo., with
burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Bethany, Mo.

Shirley M. McKean
Shirley
M. McKean, 71, Bethany, passed away
Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Crestview Nursing Home, Inc., Bethany, Mo.
She
was born April 29, 1939 in Mercer County, Mo., the daughter of Alva Lee and
Allie Mae (Frisbie) Crouse.
Shirley
married Dale Hamilton in 1959 and two children were born to that union, Rose
and Chuck. Dale preceded her in death.
In 1984 she married Dean McKean, who also preceded her in death. Shirley
was a homemaker and she liked to play cards, sew, dance and cook. She was a
member of the Zion Church of Cainsville, Mo.
Survivors
include a daughter, Rose (Bruce) Sprague, Melrose, Iowa; son, Chuck Hamilton,
Texas; grandchildren, Bradley (Brandy) Chandler, Cody Hamilton, Erica Hamilton,
all of Iowa; step-grandchildren, Christi Sprague and Bruce R. Sprague, of Iowa;
great-grandchildren, Emma Jo and Morgan Dawn Chandler;
step-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Caylee and Liam Daniel Sprague; mother,
Allie Mae Crouse; sisters, Janet Lee Crouse and Janice Kay Crouse;
sister-in-law, Mary Sue (John) Francis; best friend, Leona Weddle; several nieces and nephews, other relatives
and a host of close friends.
Shirley
was also preceded in death by her father, Alva Lee Crouse; brother, Jim Crouse
and nephew, Brad Crouse.
Funeral
services were Monday, August 30, 2010 at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany, Mo.,
with burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Cainsville, Mo.

Monique Schooler
Monique
Schooler, 47, Gardner, Kan., passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at her
home. Memorial services were Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Amos Family Chapel in
Shawnee.
Monique
was born June 29, 1963 in Princeton, Mo., to Jim and Donna Schooler. She
attended Princeton School and got a certificate in graphic arts at NMSU,
Kirksville, Mo. She worked at Stouse Incorporated in Gardener, Kan., for over
20 years.
Monique
is survived by her mother, Donna Lukenbill; sisters, Jane Schooler and Nigel
Karl and her husband, Terry; aunts, Dottie Johnson and Jackie McLain; cousins
David Chandler and Amy Chandler, and her roommate, Spook.
She
enjoyed photography, fishing, reading going to concerts with her sisters and
spending time with family and friends.
Monique
will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Monique’s
family will hold a celebration of life on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 4:00 p.m. to
? at the Christian Cottage in Cainsville, Mo. Bring a covered dish for a
potluck and visit.
Elinor Harrod
Elinor
Harrod, 91, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday,
August 28, 2010 at Lighthouse Altenheim in Round Rock.
She
was born February 3, 1919, in York, Neb., daughter of Charles Sumner and Mary
Hulda Johnson Casebeer. She and James
Harry Harrod were married May 31, 1940.
He passed away October 26, 1980.
Elinor
worked at Reid Clinic in Bethany, Mo., Albany Diagnostic Clinic in Albany, Mo.,
and helped with the family dairy farm near Bethany, Mo.
Loving
survivors include a daughter, Marta Harrod Wayman Harris and husband, Jerald,
of Round Rock; four grandchildren, Conrad Everly of Shelbyville, Ky., Mike
Everly, Brad Everly, and Michelle Everly Kock of Jackson, Mo.; three great
grandchildren, Ryan and Nick Everly of Shelbyville, Ky., and Brittany Koch of
Jackson.
She
was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwen Harrod Everly who passed away April
3, 2004, three sisters and four brothers.
Friends
may call Friday, September 3, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home and
Cremation Center in Jackson
Funeral
service will be Saturday, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home in Jackson, with
the Rev. Tommy Weems officiating.
Interment
will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
