Wastewater plant nears completion

Republican-Clipper photo Designed for the future: Bethany’s new wastewater treatment plant will bring the latest technology in the treatment of sewage when it opens in May. The mechanical sludge plant is designed to process from 380,000 to 550,000 gallons of sewage a day. Bethany’s utility system was profiled in the latest issue of “Alliance Advantage,” published by the Missouri Municipal Utilities Alliance.

Bethany’s new wastewater treatment plant remains on target for completion far ahead of the May  deadline, City Administrator Jonne Slemons told the Board of Aldermen at Tuesday night’s meeting.
