Burial at a later date in Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to NorthCare Hospice House or to the Disabled American Veterans.

Jim was born February 1, 1930, in Unionville, MO, the son of Clyde and Cleta (Guffey) Partin. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Madalyn Dixon on December 15, 1951. Jim established the Harrison County Ad-Visor and operated a print shop in Bethany during the 1970’s and 1980’s. He also worked for the Bethany Republican Clipper and St. Joseph News Press. Jim was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Bethany and of Ashland United Methodist Church in St. Joseph.

Jim’s passions included boating, being on the lake with his family and friends, trading automobiles, and participating with little league baseball and high school football games. He was a former member of Kiwanis and Rotary in Bethany. And in later years, Jim and Madalyn enjoyed wintering in Destin, Florida. But above all, Jim was a great husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Marion Partin, and sister, Dorothy Smith. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Madalyn; daughter, Rhonda Peery; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Mary Partin; grandchildren, Nicole, Nathaniel, Noah and Amy; and great grandsons, Kolton and Gavin.
