New Hampton, MO: Max Clark, 98, New Hampton, MO, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at a Bethany, MO nursing home.

He was born March 4, 1919 in White Oak Township, Harrison County, Missouri the son of Evert P. and Ethel Bell (Ricketts) Clark.

On October 3, 1939, he married Ferne Clark at the home of Rev. O. D. Hedges. She preceded him in death on August, 18, 1995.

Max was a member and deacon of the New Hampton Christian Church. He farmed most of his life and was a bus driver for South Harrison Schools for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Ferne; daughter-in-law, Susie Clark; brothers, Carlisle, Eugene and J. R. Clark; sister, Maxine Funk and 2 great-grandchildren, Brett Dillivan and Lexi Sprague.

Survivors include his sons, Bobby Jim (Linda) Clark, Independence, MO, Billy Max Clark, Bethany, MO, Jerry Dean (Neita) Clark, New Hampton, MO and Jesse Gale (Jackie) Clark, McFall, MO; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 30 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO with Rev. Cristy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the Foster Cemetery and/or Harrison County Hospice in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
