GILMAN CITY, MO: Leona Reynolds, 97, Gilman City, MO (formerly of St. Joseph, MO) passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at a Trenton, MO nursing home.
She was born December 20, 1920 near Coffey, Missouri the daughter of Everett Roscoe and Iola Rebecca (Russell) Terry.
On December 1, 1940, she was married to Ernest Reynolds. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son; 3 sisters; 4 brothers; a son-in-law; and 2 great grandchildren.
Leona is survived by 3 daughters, Reva (Noel) Murphy, Gilman City, MO, Ruth Barrow, Melrose, Iowa, and Ronda (Gary) Bowers, Smithville, MO; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Betty Jeffries, Maxine (Alvin) Franks, Gallatin, MO, and Retha Jahnke, of Florida.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 11 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Miriam Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
