Hospital board approves portable X-ray machine for Emergency Dept.

It is easy to move, exposes patients to significantly less radiation and provides images that can be viewed instantly by the physician.

The Harrison County Community Hospital District’s board of directors approved the lease of a new portable X-ray machine at its meeting on October 30. The new unit, which will be used in the Emergency Department and inpatient floor, replaces a model that has been in use for 10 years.
