North Harrison senior pitcher Payton Craig pitched a gem of a game Monday night to lead the Shamrocks to a 4-2 victory over Maysville in the state softball quarterfinals. Leading by two runs going into the final inning, Craig struck out the first batter she faced and then forced a ground out and a pop up fly as the Shamrocks held off Maysville. North Harrison will advance to the state tournament this weekend in Springfield when the Shamrocks will face Canton in the first semifinal game at 2 p.m. on Friday. The championship game will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
