BETHANY, MO: Lorna G. Beery, 93, Bethany, MO (formerly of Eagleville, MO) passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at a Bethany, MO nursing home.
She was born August 20, 1924 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of George Arthur and Lorna Frances (Brockway) Kennard.
On April 7, 1950 she married J.W. Beery in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1992.
Lorna received her nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse for 34 years at Harrison County Hospital, Bethany, MO.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Bob Beery; brothers, George A. and Jim Kennard; and sister, Anita Drumright.
Lorna is survived by her daughters, Judy (Tom) Trullinger, Grant City, MO, Margaret (Curt) Fletchall, Bethany, MO, Diana Fontaine, Punta Gorda, FL; son, Cliff (Melody) Beery, Eagleville, MO; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Harrison County Community Hospital Auxiliary in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
