Young people honored: A group of heroic young people who were involved in the rescue of a three-year-old from the Harrison County Lake display the certificates they received Monday night at the Bethany City Council meeting. Bryce Kirk, Trevor Baker (represented by his sister Emily), Conner Hammond and Aleah Squires came to the aid of the little child who was trapped in a car that began sinking into the lake over the Fourth of July weekend. Pictured with the young people are, from left, council members Gene Ishmael, Randy Brejnik, Mayor Todd Williams, and council members Lance Johns and Randy Mann. Trevor works in Texas and could not be present for the ceremony at City Hall.
