Drag racing returns to track: Area drag racing competitors have dusted off their cars following the reopening of the Thunder Valley Raceway, east of Bethany. Gary Marsh, above, shows off the polished 1979 Mustang that Charlie Wieland raced at Thunder Valley several years ago. Marsh, who works for Wieland Hauling, said the car had been sitting in a barn for the past 10 years. Thunder Valley opened for the season on Saturday. The track will have one race a month.
