Time on the range: Bethany police officer Ken Bake fires at a target during firearms training Tuesday morning at the county’s shooting range near the maintenance barn. He is being supervised by training officer Joe Hamilton of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. Hamilton has served as the county’s firearms instructor for the past three years. He completed an NRA training officer’s course in Central Missouri. Police and sheriff’s officers shoot about three times a year at the range.
