Shopping for shoes: Kelly Kollanda, a child service worker for the Third Circuit Children’s Division of the Department of Social Services in Harrison County, picks out some shoes for children during the Bethany Rotary Club’s shoe distribution day on Thursday afternoon. Dr. Jack McCall, left, coordinates the program to collect shoes to be sent to area schools and overseas. Kollanda was selecting shoes for some of her client families. Several area schools also took part in the distribution day.

Rotary Clubs in District 6030 of northern Missouri have participated for many years in a shoe collection drive for needy children around the world called “Shoes for Orphan Souls.”
