The North Harrison marching band picked up several awards at recent band festivals. On Saturday, the indoor color guard and the indoor drumline won first place at the Missouri Days Festival at Trenton. The band also won first place awards in field competitions.
In earlier competition, North Harrison captured first place in indoor drumline at the Carrollton Band Day. The school also won second place in parade competition, field competition and indoor color guard.
North won second place in field competitions at the Missouri Western Tournament of Champions in St. Joseph on Oct. 11. North Harrison was the smallest school in the competitions.
