Thomas E. Carrall, 83, of Ridgeway was fatally injured Thursday morning when his pickup truck hit a parked MoDOT dump truck on Route T, south of Ridgeway.

Mr. Carrall was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 a.m. by Harrison County assistant Coroner Zach Wilson.

According to the Highway Patrol, Mr. Carrall was northbound on Route T in a 1996 GMC Sierra when he struck a MoDOT truck that was parked in a temporary construction zone. The pickup hit the dump truck head-on while it was parked southbound in the northbound lanes. The accident occurred on Route T, about 5 miles south of Ridgeway.

The patrol report stated that the victim was not wearing a safety device.

Mr. Carrallā€™s body was transported by the Harrison County coroner to the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany.

The accident was investigated by Sgt. T. L. Williams and Sgt. G. D. Ward, assisted by Cpl. J. A. Pithan, Cpl. B. H. Hillard, Trooper M. L. Starmer, CVO A. W. Urban and CVI R. E. Powell and the NTA ambulance.
