Vera Rose (Alley) Flynn, daughter of Richard Russell Alley and Evalea Armetha (Francisco) Alley was born November 12, 1941 at home on the family farm, near Matkins, MO in Harrison County.
When she was small, Vera’s family moved to a farm south of Bethany, where she spent her childhood. After graduating, Vera married Victor Haskins, from Hatfield, MO. To this union were born four children: Randy, Rodney, Vickie and Ryan. Early in their marriage, the family moved to Portland, Oregon, where Vera and Vic owned a tire recapping business. Later, she married Richard Flynn. Vera worked in retail, did office work, and babysat.
Vera left this world on December 28, 2015 in Vancouver, WA, at the age of 74.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Glenn Dewayne, Richard Gene, and Phillip Hale and sister, Jeanette (Alley) Robertson.
Survivors include her children; grandchildren – Maria, Randal, Valerie, Nicole, Joshua, Austin, and Kaitlin, Portland, OR area. Four Brothers: Norman Alley, St. Joseph; MO, Toney Alley, Farmington, AR; Jim Alley, College Station, TX; and Tom (Carla) Alley, Bethany, MO. Sisters: Gail Arnett, Moberly, MO; Karen (Ed) Merritt, Maysville, MO; and Aunt Nima (Francisco) McAuliff, Modesto, CA.
