Earl Mac Ragan, 92, of Bethany, MO passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Crestview Nursing Home, Bethany, MO.
He was born January 30, 1923 in Princeton, MO the son of Virgil and Rosa (Black) Ragan. They preceded him in death.
On February 19, 1944 he married Katherine “Kate” Smith in Princeton, MO. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2012.
Earl served in the United States Navy for four years. He then became a farmer and real estate broker.
Earl was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Mac (Pamela) Ragan, Eldorado Springs, MO; 2 granddaughters, Teresa (Carl) Hutchison, Neosho, MO, Jessica Ragan, Joplin, MO; great grandson, Trenton Hutchison; great granddaughters, Avery Hutchison, Margaret Past, Independence, MO; and nephew, Jeff (Bonnie) Blue, and their children and grandchildren of Des Moines, IA.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 28 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial with military rites will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Bethany, MO. There is no family visitation scheduled. There will be an open visitation after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
