L. Kenny Stoner, 54, Mt. Moriah, MO passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015.

He was born October 23, 1961 in Bethany, Missouri the son of Leland Kay and Janice June (Bender) Stoner. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1992.

While growing up, Kenny loved working along with his dad in the auto body shop and helping him on the family farm.

Kenny gave his life to Christ in the summer of 1974.

Kenny graduated from South Harrison High School in 1980 He then attended MWSC in St. Joseph, Missouri the following year.

On May 28, 1982, he married Peggy Morgan in the Methodist Church in Mt. Moriah, MO. To this union two daughters were born, Keri Sue on November 15, 1988 and Kelli Ann on July 6, 1991. Keri and Tommy and Kelli and Nathan were both married during the past year; each held their wedding ceremony at Kenny and Peggy’s Home near Mt. Moriah.

In 1988, Kenny and Peggy started Stoner Sand near Mt. Moriah and loved working together every day.

Kenny was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Kenny was also a member of the Noel T. Adams Ambulance District Board as well as the Mt. Moriah Volunteer Fire Department.

Kenny’s passion in life was helping others.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Peggy, are daughters, Keri (Tommy) Underwood, Raleigh, NC and Kelli (Nathan) Pickering, Stillwater, OK; father, L. Kay Stoner, Mt. Moriah, MO; sisters, Annie (Doug) Strawn, St. Charles, IA and Shayna Pollard, Princeton, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins; uncle, Charles (Mary) Stoner, Ozark, MO; aunt, Virginia Lyon, New Hampton, MO; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Morgan and brother-in-law, Terry (Kathy) Morgan all of Albany, MO and sister-in-law, Linda (Randy) Hart, Chillicothe, MO.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Lloyd Cemetery, Mt. Moriah, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
