Theatford W. Casley, 83, of Chenoa formerly of Bethany, Mo.
Died at 6:09 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, IL with Rev. Jonathan Boehne officiating. Military rites by the El Paso American Legion will follow the service at the memorial home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the memorial home on Thursday. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Jude Midwest affiliate or to the El Paso Food Pantry.

Theatford was born August 20, 1932 in Quincy, IL the son of Elmer and Ethel Kirby Casley. He first married Marge Elkins and then married Caroline Carley on November 8, 2003 in Chenoa. She survives along with five children Jennifer (Alan) Lucas of Wyoming, IL, Theatford “Bud” Casley Jr. and Vicki (Kervin) Brungardt both of Plymouth, MI, Lori (Mark) Paluska of Texas, and Kelly (Cini) Casley of Lacon; three brothers and three sisters; Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Tim and a granddaughter Corrin Paluska, two brothers and one sister.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bethany, MO. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Germany and a member of the El Paso VFW Post #6026. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Mossville after 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Dunlap High School where he played football. Theatford enjoyed gardening, knitting, and feeding the birds. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
