Howard Trullinger, 93, of Eagleville, MO went home to the Lord on September 29, 2015. Howard was the eldest of six children born to Guy and Edith (Rinehart) Trullinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold, a sister, Arlene and a grandson, Matthew. His wife of 51 years, Mildred Trullinger, passed away in 1994. His wife Leah of 19 years, passed away in 2013.

Surviving are the four children born to his marriage with Mildred; Virginia (Ken) Anderson, Howard Jr. (Linda), Gregory (Rhonda), and Douglas (Sharon). He also has 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers Glen (Rachel) and Charles (Chris); sister, Louise Kinder; sister-in-law, Anna Trullinger; and numerous special nieces, nephews and friends.

Howard was born near Hatfield during the depression and grew up on a farm. He attended grade school near Hermix and was the first family member to attend and graduate from Eagleville High School. He attended Business College for two years and then took employment at Braniff Airlines and spent most of his years in business and auditing. He retired from a large corporation in Mt. Prospect, IL.

He was always involved in the church and youth and boy scouts, spending numerous hours with the youth. He was an ordained deacon in the Southern Baptist Convention. He also served as an officer and teacher over the years. During his working years he also did some lay speaking from the age of 30. He was active in fishing and hunting with his brother and brother-in-law and camping with family. He helped organize a church at Sunland village in Mesa, AZ. He was always active in churches he attended and was long time active Gideon.

During his Arizona retirement years he spent many hours with his great grandchildren hiking, swimming and picking oranges and peaches. During their 20 year marriage, he and Leah enjoyed dancing and making friends visiting Crestview and the Care Center on a regular basis which he continued doing until the past month.

To the very end Howard had a smile on his face and welcomed visitors that came to see him at the hospital. He appreciated all of the company and he enjoyed a wonderful weekend before he passed surrounded by all four of his children, several of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as some very special nieces and nephews and his two brothers and sisters-in-law. September 29 he went to another reunion with those who had gone before him and to claim his well-earned place with Jesus.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3 at the Christian Church in Eagleville, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
