Albert E. “Al” Polley, 63, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away September 16, 2015.  Visitation will be from noon-2pm, Friday, September 25th and funeral services will be at 2:00pm all at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N 94th St., Kansas City, KS.  Interment with Honors will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgeway Methodist Church.

Al was born July 7, 1952 in Bethany, MO to Albert Jr. and Erma Polley.  He grew up in Missouri and graduated from Ridgeway High School.  Al enlisted in the Navy after graduation, serving in Vietnam; he also served in the Army National Guard after he returned.  He married Roxane Edmonds on March 20, 1976.  Al was a field engineer and retired from Nortel Networks.  He was a member of Ridgeway Methodist Church and the VFW.  Al enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Royals, and was an avid gardener and taking care of his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Jr. Polley and Erma VanDyne; his father-in-law, Russell Edmonds; his nephew Rick Hamilton; and his step-sister, Dena Jean Polley.

Al is survived by his wife, Roxane Polley; his children, Sabrina Williams, and Albert Lee Polley (Jennifer Lee); his grandchildren, Preston Williams, Megyn Williams, Albert Ethan Polley, and Breanna Lee Polley; his sister, Ramona Hamilton (Dick); his nephew, Tim Hamilton; his step-mother, Carolyn Polley; his uncle, Kenneth Polley; his mother-in-law, Reba Edmonds; his sisters-in-law, Teresa Edmonds, and Kathleen Turner; and brothers-in-law, Russell Edmonds and Matthew Edmonds, as well as many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
