Nolan Dale Landes, 80, of Bethany, MO passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Bethany Care Center, Bethany, MO.

Nolan was born on November 14, 1934 in Jefferson Township At Home to the late Loren W. and Mary I. (Hendren) Landes.

He spent his career as a diesel mechanic until retirement in 2000. Since work was his biggest hobby, he then took the job as Jefferson Township’s maintainer and operator. A job which he took much pride in.

Nolan was always ready and willing to help all of his family and friends with any construction project, wood cutting, dirt scraping, or furniture building project when and where he was needed!

Nolan was a member of the Morris Chapel Church and board member of the Morris Chapel Cemetery, The Midwest Grace Fellowship, and the Jefferson Township.

He married Myrna Nadine Bain on November 24th, 1957. She survives at the nursing home in Bethany, MO.

In addition to his parents, Nolan is preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Wells and Elaine Stanley.

Survivors in addition to his wife include, four children, Karen (Mark) Guernsey, Donna (Ronnie) Graham, Kirby (Becky) Landes, and Rusty Landes; nine grandchildren, Trevor, Dale, Maria, Tonie, Clinton, Colby, Trace, Lindsey, Mike; three great-grandchildren, Taylar, Aidan, and Ronni Ann; sister, Patricia (Carl) Folgate; two brother-in-laws, Bill Wells and Dick Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.

Nolan was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. We will cherish and follow in his honorable and caring ways for the rest of our lives.

Nolan has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 29 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Inurnment will follow in Morris Chapel Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Morris Chapel Cemetery, Midwest Grace Fellowship, Harrison County Hospice and /or Harrison County Cancer Transportation Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Bethany, Mo 64424.
