Kathleen Diane Magee, the daughter of William Raymond and Bonnadene Naomi (Bartlett) Magee was born April 12, 1964 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away July 28, 2015 at her home in Albany at the age of 51.

Kathy graduated in 1982 from South Harrison High School in Bethany. She started to work right out of school. Her life career began with the one passion in her life, working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Gentry County Transitional Group Home. In the later 80’s, Kathy worked at Bethany Group Care. In 1996 she opened a video store on the square in Albany. It was an enjoyment for Kathy as well as the community to get to see the newest releases. In September of 1997 she continued her passion and went into business with Nelda Ginther and opened Independent Skilled Living (homes) as Ginther and Magee Inc.

Kathy was a member of the New Hampton Christian Church. She loved being a part of her Biker for Benefit Group, riding her motorcycle, going to Las Vegas, spending time with her family and friends. Most importantly, she was always there to help anyone that needed a hand no matter what.

She was preceded in death by her father, nephew Josiah Bray, paternal grandparents, Russell Pete and Bernice Magee and her maternal grandparents, Doyle and Trilbia Bartlett.
