Prairie Days at Dunn Ranch: Visitors brought out their lawn chairs to listen and view presentations about prairie restoration projects underway at the Dunn Ranch near Hatfield. The Nature Conservancy of Missouri and the Missouri Department of Conservation sponsored the program last Friday night as part of its Prairie Days celebration. As the sun went down, movies about the prairie were projected onto the side of this large barn near the Dunn Ranch headquarters.
The early rounds of a multi-generational campaign to restore the native prairie of northern Harrison County was celebrated during the Prairie Days Friday and Saturday at the Dunn Ranch and the Pawnee Prairie conservation area.
