Connie Sue Barker Weary (formerly of Bethany, MO) 60, passed away June 2, 2015 at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home, Overland Park, KS.
She was born August 26, 1954 in Bethany, MO, the daughter of Marion Edgar and Norma June (Groves) Barker. She grew up and attended school in Bethany. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She married Rodney Weary in 1980 and they had 2 children: Franklin Grimm Weary (Lee Summit, MO) and Alexis Jade Weary (Overland Park, KS).
Connie had battled with many health issues since the age of 16.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marion E. Barker, October 16, 2012.
Survivors in addition to her children include: 3 sisters, Tamra Ann Barker Crabtree (Bethany, MO), Jodi Suann Barker Yoho (Platte City, MO), Rachel Barker (Sand Springs, OK); mother, Norma Pittsenbarger (Bethany, MO); step-mother, Donna Barker (Bethany, MO); 2 step-brothers, Randy Giles and Roger Giles; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great nephews and 1 great niece.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
